Recent Canada Express Entry PR Invitations and CRS Requirements
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has recently extended invitations to apply for permanent residence (PR) through the Express Entry system. In a recent general draw, the department issued 1,470 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates from all Express Entry programs.
To be eligible, candidates needed to meet a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 534. This score is crucial for ranking candidates within the Express Entry pool.
Today’s draw follows a series of previous draws that took place between February 13th and 16th. On February 13th, IRCC conducted its second general draw of the month, inviting 1,490 candidates who had a minimum CRS score of 535. Additionally, there were two targeted draws—one for healthcare professionals and another for agriculture and agri-food occupations. These targeted draws required candidates to have CRS scores of at least 422 and 437, respectively.
The Express Entry system streamlines the immigration process for skilled workers, offering a faster pathway to permanent residence in Canada. If you’re eligible, consider submitting your profile and joining the pool of candidates. If selected, you’ll have 60 days to submit your application, and most complete applications are processed within 6 months.
