IRCC Express Entry Draw For July 2024.

In the latest Express Entry draw, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 5,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence. This draw focused specifically on the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), with candidates needing a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 510 to be considered.

July has been an exceptionally busy month for Express Entry. Today's draw marks the ninth one this month, with a total of 25,125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued so far.

Throughout July, IRCC has been alternating between program-specific draws, such as the CEC and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and category-based selection draws. Notably, in the category-based draws, many ITAs were given to candidates with French language proficiency—5,000 ITAs over two draws. Additionally, IRCC issued 3,750 ITAs to healthcare candidates on July 5 and 1,800 ITAs to candidates in trade occupations on July 4.

The return to program-specific draws on May 30, after a full year without them, aligns with IRCC’s goal of holding more domestic draws. By the end of July, IRCC had invited 11,300 Canadian Experience Class candidates and 3,275 Provincial Nominee Program candidates. Many of these candidates already live and work in Canada as temporary residents.

Earlier this year, in March, IRCC introduced a new goal to reduce and stabilize the number of temporary residents in Canada while continuing to meet its permanent resident targets as outlined in the Immigration Levels Plan.
